Crystal has been the Director of the Butler County Department on Aging since November of 2007. Crystal obtained her Bachelors degree in Family Relations and Child Development with an emphasis in Gerontology from Oklahoma State University. She obtained her Masters of Social Work from Wichita State University. Crystal oversees the agency's various programs, funding sources, duties on various boards, and general operations, as well as being a strong advocate for Butler County's senior citizens
BRENDA LOUTHAN - PROGRAM MANAGER/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Brenda has been with the Butler County Department on Aging since 1994, when the agency's name was Butler County Senior Services. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from Wichita State University. She is a certified Information and Referral Specialist for Aging (CIRS-A), and also oversees the in-home programs for the agency. Brenda also is involved in the planning and operation of the annual Spring Fling and has been involved in PEANE (Protection from Elder Abuse and Neglect) grant seminars.
MELODY GAULT - RSVP PROJECT MANAGER
Melody has been with the Butler County Department on Aging since 2004. She is the project manager for our senior volunteer program, RSVP, which part of the Corportation for National Service. Melody also is involved in the planning and operation of the annual Spring Fling and has been involved in PEANE (Protection from Elder Abuse and Neglect) grant seminars. She is very active with various boards and progams that focus on the older volunteer.
PAT HOUCHIN - OFFICE MANAGER/PHYSICAL FITNESS COORDINATOR
Pat has been our Office Manager since 2005. Her duties have expanded to include coordinating the Physical Fitness program, our Shopping for Seniors program, and our Freezer Meals program. Pat is a certified trainer for the Arthritis Foundation Self-Help program and presents those classes twice a year. Pat is also responsible for publishing our quarterly newsletter and submits weekly articles to the Augusta Gazette and El Dorado Times.
BRENDA STREIF - TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR
Brenda has been with the Department on Aging since 2005. In this position, Brenda's duties include preparing Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) monthly reports and following KDOT procedures and preparing KDOT grants. She also oversee the daily rider/bus schedules, supervises drivers, oversees maintence and operation of the vans.
KRIS STUDEBAKER - RSVP COORDINATOR
Kris started with the Department on Aging in February of 2011. Kris enrolls volunteers, maintains hours/mileage, and creates the monthly newsletter for the RSVP Program. She is also the receptionist for the Department on Aging
